Several notches above the basic community festival, The Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival annually draws 30,000 to 40,000 people to hear good music, browse craft booths and exhibits and eat Cajun style food. This regional event is attracting nation wide attention.

The Festival was started in 1990 by The Friends of Conroe, a non-profit orThe Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival features fun events for everybody, including continuous live music on four stages, midway carnival, dozens of food and craft booganization that uses the festival proceeds to benefit the greater Conroe. It is held annually in downtown Conroe, Texas.
