Review: 2003 Mazda Tribute SUV
The only major complaint I have is that when the car is in gear, you have to reach around the gearshift to get to the radio controls. The seats are comfortable and the heater gets hot very quickly (good for those snow days!). With the SUV in overdrive on the highway, it never goes over 2000rpm. The optional moonroof that I purchased is a bit touchy and hard to figure out. Rear privacy glass and roof rack are standard. I test drove the Honda CR-V and found it to have some huge blind spots. Mazda minimized those problems with narrower pillars. I used the Mazda throughout the NY winter and it handled beautifully over the snow and ice.
Driving the Mazda, I can't help myself from saying "zoom zoom"!
Features independent suspension, unibody construction, sixteen inch wheels, rear door with seperate hatch-style window, and its center of gravity is lower than other SUVs.
