Photoshop Elements 10 What's New
For the past ten years, PhotoshopR ElementsR has been an award-winning software. With this latest upgrade, Elements 10 continues to give its users the tools needed to finish the job.

The familiar Elements workspace is still sectioned by the Organize, Fix, Create and Share tabs. The Organizer is integrated with both Photoshop and Premiere Elements and will automatically launch the needed program as you work through your project. Elements has some new search features that will save you time and are simple to use.

The People Recognition search feature is an easy way to find photos with the same subject. Simply choose the Object Search option from the Search drop-down menu. When the adjustable frame appears on your photo, select the person or object for your search. Click the Search Object button under the frame and when the search results appear, you can use the slider bar to refine your search for color or shape.

To use the Visual Similarity Search, simply drag a photo you wish to match for similarity into the small box next to the Search menu and Elements will automatically display all photos in your catalog which are similar to your search photo.

You can streamline your catalog with the Duplicate Photo Search, which displays duplicate photos in groups. From the search results overlay window, you have the option to delete any group of duplicates or use the Stacking feature to save a group of duplicates that you may wish to keep.

The Elements Organizer works with your FacebookR and YouTubeR accounts allowing you to integrate your photos with your Facebook Friends list and upload video to your YouTube account directly from the Elements workspace.

Photo editing can be more fun with the new photo effects available in the Elements Editor. If you enjoy experimenting with filter effects, you will enjoy the new Smart Brush. With a variety of effects from textures and tints to artistic oils or pencil, you can apply these effects by painting over any area of your photo with the Smart Brush tool. Other fun effects include the Orton, Depth of Field and the Picture Stack effect which slices your photo into sections while adding frames around each section creating a collage or scrapbook effect.
