Adding YouTube Channel to Facebook

Adding YouTube Channel to Facebook
Social networking is one of the most useful ways to market your book app or any other product or service. Facebook is one of the most popular social networking sites and YouTube is one of the most popular video sharing sites. Merging these two sites together is great for your social marketing plan. So, how can you get your videos onto Facebook?

Facebook allows you to upload videos, as well as photos, to your Timeline. But you’ve already spent much time and effort setting up your YouTube channel and videos. So why duplicate all that work on Facebook? Wouldn’t it be nice to pull all your videos from YouTube to your Facebook Timeline? You can with a free Facebook app from OracleR involverTM called YouTube for Pages.

  1. From the Oracle involver page, click the Free Install button for the YouTube for Pages app.

  2. Next, you will see the Facebook app approval page for the YouTube for Pages app. Click the Add YouTube for Page button.

  3. You might get a blank page but that’s OK. Just go to your Facebook page and you will see a new tab in the tab area. Depending on the number of tabs that you already have, you might need to expand the tab area.

  4. You will see the new tab with the familiar YouTube icon that will take your visitor to the tab page. Click on the YouTube for Pages tab to view the page.

  5. You have two links. One to the support center on the Oracle involver site and one to open the configuration window. Facebook may ask you to switch to your personal account. If so, click the Continue as Your Name button.

  6. Next you will see a second app approval message listing the Facebook features the app needs to access. Click Okay.

  7. On the YouTube for Pages form, enter your YouTube username or channel name.

  8. Check the boxes to tell the app what you wish to include on Facebook. Besides your videos, you can also include Favorites, comments and set the Featured Video as the latest or oldest uploaded to YouTube. You can also set the app to automatically add a post to your Facebook wall when you add a new video.

  9. Click the Save Changes button.

  10. At the top of the page, click the Return to Facebook Page button.

When you return to your Facebook YouTube for Pages Tab page, you will see the page that the visitors to your Facebook page sees after clicking on the YouTube for Page Tab on your Timeline. They see your latest uploaded or oldest video featured at the top of the page and the video can be viewed directly inside the Facebook tab page. Under that, is the description that you added to your YouTube video and a comments form, if you chose to allow comments. There are also Facebook Like and Send buttons. Under this, is a thumbnail listing of your other channel videos. When the visitor clicks on a thumbnail, that video is displayed at the top of the page.
