Malibu Vegetarian Burger Review

The Malibu Burger by Gardenburger is a tasty combination of organic, whole grain ingredients which satisfies that longing for a hearty sandwich. It is a vegan burger, and is suitable for Meatless Monday meals. The burger contains 170 calories, 8 grams of fat, and 21 grams of carbohydrate. It also has 4 grams of dietary fiber. This burger packs a real punch when it comes to Vitamin A with 1,250 IU. When you look at the list of ingredients, it is not hard to figure out why this burger is so nutrient dense.
Take a quick look at the ingredients:
Organic cooked brown rice (organic brown rice, water), water, organic corn, organic carrots, organic onions, organic green peppers, organic rolled oats, organic red bell peppers, organic soy protein isolate, organic canola oil, organic high oleic sunflower oil, contains two percent or less of broccoli, sea salt, carrageenan, organic soy sauce (water, organic soybeans, salt, organic wheat, organic alcohol), organic onion powder, konjac flour, organic garlic powder, organic spices.
Malibu Burgers are easy to prepare, too. Only prepare one burger at a time in the microwave. To microwave it, just place the frozen burger on a microwave safe plate. Microwave the covered burger for 1 minute 45 seconds to 2 minutes. Halfway through cooking your burger, turn it over. It's that simple! If you like a crispier burger, you can spend 10 minutes cooking it in a skillet. Spray both sides of the frozen burger with oil or non-stick cooking spray. Use a non-stick skillet, or a trusty, well-seasoned iron skillet, and cook the burger over medium heat. Halfway through cooking the burger, flip it over to the other side. That's it!
When you are making your Malibu Burger, you can mix and match ingredients. Serve it as a vegan or vegetarian sandwich. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
Bread-sourdough bread slice, hamburger bun, potato roll, egg bun, rye bread.
Cheese-tofu cheese, smoked Cheddar, Swiss, or Gouda, pepperjack cheese, American cheese.
Thinly sliced veggies-tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, mushrooms, onions, summer squash, avocado.
Leafy veggies-shredded lettuce, baby spinach leaves, spring green mix, coleslaw, arugula, alfalfa sprouts, radish sprouts.
Condiments- Vegenaise, mayonnaise, olive mayo, Ranch dressing, Thousand Island dressing.
Dish up your Malibu Burger with a couple of sides or a warm soup for a satisfying sandwich meal. Add a dessert or sweet for a special treat! When you serve your family the Malibu Burger, you are providing them with solid nutrition that tastes great. It is one more way that you can cut a little meat out of your family's diet.
