Big Book of Crochet Stitches Book Review

Big Book of Crochet Stitches Book Review
The Big Book of Crochet Stitches: Fabulous Fans, Pretty Picots, Clever Clusters and a Whole Lot More is an excellent resource for any crocheter to have in his or her library. The book is written by two of the most respected lady’s in the crochet industry, Jean Leinhauser and Rita Weiss. (Read more about them below.)

Pros
In this book, you’ll get access to step-by-step directions for making more than 350 stitch patterns, ranging from easy to advanced. The stitch patterns include bobbles, chevrons, clusters, crossed stitches, fans, looped stitches, picots, popcorn stitch variations, puff stitches, raised stitches, V stitches and much more. Each set of instructions has a close-up photograph of a swatch made in that stitch so that you can see what the pattern looks like. Stitches are grouped and indexed by type of stitch.

Cons
The book does not include charts for those who don't read patterns. And it seems that The Big Book of Crochet Stitches is simply a reprint of 365 Crochet Stitches a Year Perpetual Calendar, both by Jean Leinhauser and Rita Weiss. The only difference is the format. The stitches in both books are exactly the same with the same photographs.
