Getting Ready for Fall Newsletter
As we write our family newsletters, think of the upcoming holidays and fall season. It is never too early to prepare. Some family members live nearby; as Halloween approaches consider getting young cousins together to go trick or treating together. Costumes with a theme or even matching ones can be fun for the kids. Some areas where you live may not be as safe as other homes. This may be a good time to plan a party for Halloween. The newsletter is the perfect place to post plans and ideas.

Thanksgiving and Christmas is just around the corner. If your family exchanges gifts, why not have a place to let members of the family write down their wish list for gifts? (Deciding on a price limit is a great idea to post on your newsletter; to let family members voice their opinion on the subject)

Sometimes phone calls are hard to place, since some of us work, travel and lead such busy lives the family newsletter is a great communication tool. The internet is a great way to do your newsletter. It saves you on stamps and can be sent to your family in the click of a button. Try to make sure all members of your family are involved in planning for the holidays, especially the youth…

Some family members live out of town. The newsletter is a great place to put travel arrangements down. This lets all members of the family prepare for when out of towners can be expected to arrive.

So, think ahead of the upcoming events. Include them in your newsletter and help better prepare your family.
