Low Carb Radio on KTRS

Low Carb Radio on KTRS
For the second time in two months, I've been on the radio talking about low carb beer! KTRS in St. Louis, Missouri had me talk about the low carb beer of Anheuser Busch.

Ed Martin is the DJ on KTRS, and we talked for 45 minutes about the low carb diet lifestyle, about BellaOnline and of course about low carb beer. I had six six-packs of beer sitting on the table in front of me, and I reviewed them as we spoke. Here are my notes!

Bud Light - 4/5 stars
Bud light is relatively high in carbs at 6.6g, but it also has a nice, smooth flavor with a hint of bitter flavor.

Busch Light - 4/5 stars
Busch Light is also relatively high in carbs, at 6.7g. It also has a smooth flavor, brighter than the Bud Light, with a hint of bitter.

Michelob Ultra - 3/5 stars
Michelob Ultra is lighter, as you might expect with a nice low 2.6g of carbs. It still has a nice flavor, with a bit of bitter sparkle to it.

Natural Light - 3/5 stars
Natural Light is inexpensive, and is a light, easy drinking beer. It's also low in carbs, at 3.2g.

Michelob Light - 2/5 stars
Michelob Light has full rich flavors, but there's a reason for it. It has a whopping 11.7g of carbs. This is not a low carb beer, or even a low calorie beer, despite its light label. It gets 2/5 for its unsuitability in low carb dieting.

Miller Light - 2/5 stars
Miller Light was very disappointing. It was watery, with a poor flavor and bitter aftertaste. It is relatively low carb at 3.2g, but for that amount you can choose from other beer options in this list and get a better flavor.
