Elvis Presley - Happy Birthday!

Elvis Presley - Happy Birthday!
I did a search and found that some very interesting folks were born in January. It's hard to believe that some of these Capricorns and Aquarious share the same sign. Strange birthday bedfellows -- Elvis Presley and Richard Nixon, born different years, but one day apart.

Had he lived, Elvis Presley would have been 70 years old on January 8 of this month. Old clips of Elvis singing and dancing, have been popping up all over television showing the 'King' at his hip-swiveling best. Compared to some of today's dancing, Elvis moves seem awfully tame. Richard Milhous Nixon born January 9, 1913. President Nixon resigned from office August 9, 1974 because of his involvement in what is known as the the Watergate Scandal. Elvis requested and received a meeting with President Nixon before Watergate.(see Nixon-Presley Meeting Archives to your right)

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., born January 15, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. Benedict Arnold, born January 14, 1741, became infamously known as the American traitor who plotted to give West Point, NY to the British.

Records show that Saint Joan of Arc probably born born January [6], 1412. Joan d'Arc, a peasant farm girl who helped to led the French army against the English. She was later burned at the stake for witchcraft, she heard voices from GOD. St. Joan of Arc was canonized in the early 1920's. Shock Jock Howard Stern, born January 12, 1954. Some may think Stern hears voices of a different kind.

It´s hard to believe that film noir icon actor Humphrey Bogart was born in 1899. Can you believe the movieS CASABLACA (1943) and THE MALTESE FALCON (1941) are over 40 years old? You can be sure Mel Gibson actor and producer has assured a place in film history after making the controversial blockbuster movie THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST.

Happy birthday to all of our Cap and Aquarius friends.
