PHP Security Consortium

PHP Security Consortium
The PHP Security Consortium (PHPSC) is a new addition to the internet that promises to be a valuable resource to the PHP community. PHPSC was started in January 2005 by Chris Shiflett with the goal of promoting secure programming practices by educating the PHP community about the latest advancements to PHP security and by researching new standards for secure PHP applications. The PHPSC website will have three main sections.
  • The Articles section will contain high quality articles approved by the PHPSC.

  • There will be a Library of links leading to external websites and other information that has been specially selected by the PHPSC.

  • The third section will contain the ongoing projects of the PHPSC. The flagship project, the PHP Security Guide, examines common PHP security problems and solutions.
Although this organization and its website are still in their infancy, it promises to become a great clearing house for the latest information on PHP security. When you visit the site, take a few minutes to read the PHP Security Workbook by Chris Shiflett.
