Eggs in a Casket Review
Suzanne Dietz, proprietor of the Cackleberry Club, and her business partner Toni Garrett, were on their way to deliver flowers to the Historical Society tent and to help set up the Sesquicentennial celebration for the Civil War Memorial Cemetery.

As Suzanne was driving into the cemetery toward the tent, she nearly missed a speeding yellow car driven by Missy Langston who was heading out in an uncharacteristic hurry.

When a tussle with an umbrella caught up in the wind caused the Suzanne and Toni to chase after the needed covering, they came across a body in a fresh, open grave a little ways from their destination.

Although the not-so-empty grave was meant for someone else, the body now lying in the dirt was Lester Drummond. He was a former prison warden who was unpopular in the small town of Kindred. Suzanne especially disliked him as he was making unwanted advances toward a friend of hers.

Few clues were found as Suzanne assisted Sheriff Roy Doogie in finding the killer. Everyone was shocked to learn Drummond had an ex-wife. She came into town acting as if she was heartbroken that her ex-husband had been murdered.

Sheriff Doogie was in a car accident that may not have been accidental. While he was in the hospital, Suzanne continued to press forward in her quest to find the killer amongst a growing number of suspects. Unbeknownst to her, the killer was closer than she thought and he or she was hitting closer to home than she expected.

Could Suzanne find the killer before another death occurred or would she lose a very special friend?
