Mr. And Mrs. Smith (2005)
It’s love at first sight when John and Jane meet. But after five…or six…years of marriage, the Smiths perfect lifestyle is crumbling around them. But when they realize they’ve been hired to kill each other, things get a little interesting and explosive. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching 2005’s “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”.

∙ After the elevator incident with John, Jane is sitting by herself at the restaurant. John arrives and the two begin to tango. When Jane says “happy endings are for stories that haven’t been finished yet”, the close-up of her shows her left hand is on his right shoulder. It cuts to a side view of the two and her hand is no longer there. A few moments later, when he remarks about being “just a cover”, Jane’s left hand is once again clenching the upper part of John’s right arm, near his shoulder. It’s still there as they continue dancing but when they stop, her left hand is down.

∙ When John realizes there’s a bomb in his jacket, he takes it off and throws it into the mailbox on the sidewalk. He’s only wearing his white dress shirt as he’s in the car, racing toward home. Just before Jane rams her car into the one he’s driving, John is shown wearing his jacket. It’s down to the white dress shirt again a few moments later.

∙ When John breaks the pane of glass open the window, there is still glass around the upper right corner. When he opens the window, the hole is bigger and the glass is the upper right is out.

∙ After the fight between John and Jane at the house, John opens the door to the cops and their neighbors. He puts his arm around Jane who’s standing to his right. It cuts to a view of the neighbors and then back to John and Jane who’s now on his left.

∙ John and Jane are on the elevator at the Home Made store. Both are carrying automatic rifles. Jane is standing to John’s right when they attempt to exit the first time and go back due to gunfire. When the elevator door opens the second time and they exit, Jane is now on John’s let and she’s carrying a handgun.

∙ John and Jane end up inside the utility shed at Home Made. The close-up of Jane shows her take her glasses off and John is in the background wrapping a white bandage over his left arm. It cuts to a view outside the shed and then back inside. In the background, John no longer has the white bandage but is holding the guns in his hands. But when Jane turns around, he’s not holding the guns and is suddenly tying the bandage around his arm again.

“Mr. And Mrs. Smith” (2005) stars Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Vince Vaughn, Adam Brody, Kerry Washington, and Michelle Monaghan. It runs 120 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence, intense action, sexual content and brief strong language.
