Dracula Untold

Dracula Untold
Prince Vlad, known as the Impaler, has long been at war with the Turks. After years of peace between their kingdoms, Mehmed, the ruler of the Turks, demands one thousand of the kingdoms boys for his army as tribute. Determined to save his people, including the life of his young son, Vlad tracks down a feared creature living high up in the caves of the mountains. Vlad makes an agreement with a Master Vampire that will give him the power to defeat Mehmed and his armies, but at what cost? Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Dracula Untold”.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! When Vlad drinks Mirena’s blood, he bites her on the left side of her neck. After he finishes, the view of Mirena shows her neck covered in blood. A few scenes later, however, at her burial, there are no blemishes on her neck.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! This also happens again when Vlad bites Mehmed. He bites Mehmed on the left side of his neck. But in the overhead view when Mehmed falls to the ground, there’s no trace of a bite mark.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! In the far view, after Vlad has impaled Cazan and he’s disintegrating, Vlad can be seen backing away and putting his left arm around Ingeras. The scene cuts to a close-up and Vlad is shown putting his arm around Ingeras again.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! After Cazan has been destroyed, the overhead view of Vlad and Ingeras as the others close in shows Vlad is standing behind Ingeras with his arms wrapped around him. Vlad’s left arm is under Ingeras’ chin and his right arm is beneath the left one. It cuts to a right side close-up of the two of them and Vlad’s arms have switched position. His right one is now under Ingeras’ chin and the left arm is under the right.

“Dracula Untold” (2014) stars Luke Evans, Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Art Parkinson, Charles Dance, William Houston and Paul Kaye. It runs 92 minutes and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of warfare, vampire attacks, disturbing images and some sensuality.
