Tasty Healthy Sandwich Ideas

Tasty Healthy Sandwich Ideas
Any time of year is a good time to make nutritious food choices. Sandwiches can be modified to make them more healthful. Use bread with fewer carbohydrates and more whole grains and fiber. Substitute tortillas, or even lettuce leaves, to hold your fillings. Instead of fatty meats, use plant based proteins. Cheeses can be pared down. Use a sprinkle of full-flavor cheese, instead of a quarter cup. Slather on a smaller amount of mayo, or substitute mashed avocado or a lower fat dip to moisten that sandwich.

Below are some tasty sandwiches that are healthier than the typical sandwich that comes with a chubby bun, fatty meats and condiments. These sandwiches increase the fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Healthy choices do include fewer calories. They also incorporate more nutrition than cured meat, white bread, a thick slice of cheese, a full load of mayo, and a single iceberg lettuce leaf.
