Star Wars - Episode VII - The Force Awakens
The battle between good and evil is far from over. Thirty years after the Empire was defeated, the First Order is formed with intent on taking over the Galaxy. But when Rey, a young scavenger girl on Jakku, finds a sought after droid with a map to Luke Skywalker, she unknowingly becomes a target of the dreaded Kylo Ren. With the help of the former Stormtrooper, Finn, along with Han Solo and Chewbacca, can they safely get the droid to the resistance? Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Star Wars – Episode VII – The Force Awakens”.

∙ Finn first meets Rey in the marketplace on Jakku. When Rey knocks him down, there is initially no sand on his right pants leg. But in the close-up view of Finn on the ground, when he says he’s had a tough day, there’s sand on the right side of his pants leg. The BB-8 zaps him and Rey asks where he got the jacket and the close-up of him shows the sand on the leg is gone but there is now some farther up, near his waist. It’s gone in the following close-ups of him when he explains about Poe Dameron.

∙ Rey is trying to fix the Millennium Falcon and asks Finn to give her the tape. In the close-up, she’s pointing with her right hand. She’s still using her right hand/arm when she says “the one I’m pointing to”. It cuts to a rear view of her when Finn is looking for the tape and she’s pointing with her left hand. It’s back to her right one in the next front close-up.

∙ The Millennium Falcon is overheating and Rey rips out the wires to bypass the compressor. In the front close-up view of her holding the unit in her hand, the wires dangle straight down in front of her. The wires are still dangling down in the rear view, over her right shoulder. It cuts to the BB-8 and then back to the rear view of Rey where the wires now cross over her left hand. The scene cuts to the front close-up after Han leaves his seat and the wires can’t be seen.

∙ Before Han leaves, he embraces Leia. In the close-up of her, when she says “bring him home”, Hans’ right hand is on her head, touching the top part of her right ear. When the scene cuts to a close-up of Han (rear view of Leia), his right hand is lower, on her neck.

“Star Wars – Episode VII – The Force Awakens” (2015) stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o and Andy Serkis. It runs 136 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sci-fi action violence.
