Wix Events App Display Options

Wix Events App Display Options
In this tutorial, we will continue to work on the design for the Wix Events app. When I create a Wix template for my clients, sometimes I vary what information is displayed to fit the template design. By using the app's Display Info options, we can toggle each piece of information on and off.

For example, for the Floral Save the Date one page template, I displayed all the information for the wedding from within the Wix Events app, expect for the countdown clock and event description. However, for the Chevron Tag template, we only displayed the RSVP button and social icons via the app itself and added the other information manually using the Editor's text function.

Open the webpage containing the Wix Events app and select the app.

  1. Click the Settings button to open the Settings window.

  2. Choose the Display option from the left menu.

As you can see, the Display Info menu has a toggle button for each item of information that we previously set up in the Event Manager. The Countdown clock and the Event Description are turn off by default.

Event Name: This displays the name that we gave to our event in the Event Manager, Our Wedding.

Event Time: This will display the "When" label with the date and time listed below the label.

Display the Hours: With this toggle, you can turn off the time and display only the date.

Event Location: This will display the "Where" label with the venue, address, city, state and zip code below.

Social Sharing: This will display the social icons for Facebook, Twitter and LinedIn below the RSVP button.

We can continue to customize the information on the page with the Text option.

  3. Click the Text button in the left menu to open the Text Options.

Time & Location: Here we can customized the text for the When and Where labels or turn the labels off.

RSVP: Here we can change the button text from the default Register Now to RSVP.

Show RSVP Label: We can toggle the message above the button. By default the RSVP label text is off. If we toggle the message on, we can customize the message text.

RSVP Label Text: Change the default text, "Can you make it?". Many like to put a request that the guests RSVP by certain date, such as "Please RSVP by January 1".
