Wuthering Heights (1939)

Wuthering Heights (1939)
The tale of the ill-fated love of Cathy and Healthcliff starts when the pair are children. A young Heathcliff is found by Cathy?s father and brought back to the Earnshaw family home, Wuthering Heights. The children develop a close bond, but when Cathy?s father dies, her cruel brother makes Heathcliff live and work as one of their servants. Despite being in love with Heathcliff, Cathy eventually decides to marry the well to do Edgar Linton. An angry, and heartbroken, Heathcliff disappears only to return several years later, having found his fortune and still in love with Cathy. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching 1939?s ?Wuthering Heights?.

∙ Cathy has a black fur hand muff that she leaves in the chair when she runs out the room. But, a moment later, when she enters her bedroom, Cathy is carrying it in her right hand.

∙ After ripping up the dress, Cathy runs to find Heathcliff. In the front view, when she?s running up the hill, her shawl is tied in front of her. The scene cuts to a farther view and the shawl is untied.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! After being gone several years, Heathcliff returns and visits Cathy and Edgar. At first, part of Heathcliff?s hair falls just above his left eye. The scene cuts to a close-up and Healthcliff?s hair is neatly brushed back. Part of his hair is back over his left eye when he?s reciting the story about his father to Cathy.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Heathcliff visits a dying Cathy. In the front view of Cathy when she says, ?Will you forget me??, her left hand is on Heathcliff?s shoulder. It cuts to a side view of the two when Heathcliff answers ?I could as soon forget you??, and her hand is near the side of his face.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Also during this scene, Cathy?s arms are around Heathcliff?s neck when he takes her to the window. When Cathy dies, both arms drop to her side. It cuts to a close-up of Heathcliff and her right arm can still be seen draped behind his neck. Her arms are at her side again when the doctor comes over to check on her.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Heathcliff puts Cathy?s body on the bed. Her right hand can be seen reaching up to take his hand.
