Robin Hood - Prince Of Thieves

Robin Hood - Prince Of Thieves
Robin of Locksley returns home after years with the crusades only to find his father dead, his lands taken and the evil Sheriff of Nottingham plotting against those who stand in his way of taking the British throne. With the help of his trusted friends, Azeem, Marion and rebels forced to live in the forests to survive, Robin plans to put an end to his dastardly deeds. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves”.

∙ Near the beginning of the movie, when Robin is returning home, they’re on a boat rowing to shore. In the rear view of the boat in the water, only the man at the back of the rowboat is standing up. It cuts to a close-up view and Robin is now standing at the front.

∙ Robin falls on the shore. Azeem approaches and when Robin is shown, his cloak is not covering him. It cuts to a close-up of Robin when he says “Yes, but I’m free” and his cloak is now covering his chest. The scene cuts to Azeem and back to Robin. When Azeem tells him he cannot dishonor his family, the view of Robin shows the cloak is gone. Robin looks at the other men and the next close-up of him when he says “I thought you would say that” shows the cloak is covering him again.

∙ Also during this scene, when Robin says “Come, Azeem”, he holds out his right hand. But, in the view of Azeem grabbing his hand and helping him to his feet, it’s Robin’s left hand that’s extended.

∙ Robin and his men have captured Friar Tuck and his wagon. Friar Tuck has a few words with his captors and tries to escape with the wagon. As the wagon is moving, Friar Tuck fails to see the low hanging tree branch and gets knocked down, along with the arch that’s on the wagon. A few moments later, when Friar Tuck is shown pulling the wagon to everyone’s amusement, the arch is intact.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Will is being led to the gallows. He is tied to a nearby barrel and the camera switches to a farther, larger view of the area. The barrel is there, but Will is gone.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Robin is trying to save Marian from Nottingham. Robin grabs one of the flags and swings from the outside of the castle and through the center of one of the stained-glass windows. There is still glass around the edges. But, when Robin stands to fight Nottingham, there is no glass in the window.

“Robin Hood – Prince of Thieves” (1991) stars Kevin Costner, Alan Rickman, Morgan Freeman, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Christian Slater, Geraldine McEwan and Michael McShane. It runs 143 minutes and is rated PG-13 for violence and intense scenes.
