Donna Hamby's Lace on Glass

From the files of the Online Tatting Class:
Donna Hamby's Christmas Lace on Glass
Many thanks to Donna Hamby for preparing this lesson for the online tatting class way back in 2005. The original doily, came from the files of
eTatters . So we send an extra thank you to Roger aka Freedman for sharing, also.
Donna tells us that she learned to tat in January 2004 and just doesn't have enough time to do all she would like to do. Donna attended the Palmettos Tat-Days 2005 in Columbia, SC, and learned some additional techniques and has been attending the weekly classes as often as possible to add even more techniques to her arsenal.
Here are some basic how-to's on putting together the ornament.

I tied a bow as you can see in the photo and stitched a 5 ring flower to the ornament I felt I needed some additional color at the top so I gathered the ribbon again with a bow and attached 5 ring flower and this time I attached several scattered 5 ring flowers around the ribbon to have at different levels around the back side of the ornament. I would have liked to have had smaller ribbon but when I was searching this wider size was the only ribbon I could find in red and that is what I really wanted. I think the smaller ribbon might be more attractive and would let the clear plastic ornament show a little more. Happy Holidays!
Many thanks for sharing!
