Cruise Lines Honor Our Heroes With Special Offers
In recognition of the many sacrifices military members and frontline personnel have made, cruise lines are providing special deals and perks in appreciation for their service. Offers range from discounts and onboard credits to a complimentary cruise when booked with a paying guest in the same stateroom. Some cruise lines offer various incentives on a sporadic basis based on each sailings, while others provide these deals throughout the year.

Here are six great cruise line deals designed to honor our heroes this year:

Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival Cruise Line carries more active and retired military personnel than any other cruise operator. There are a number of ways that Carnival Cruise Line recognizes the service of U.S. and Canadian military members. The first is by offering cruise discounts for active and retired U.S. military and Canadian National Defense members and their families on a per sailing basis. Carnival Cruise Line also offers a moving Military Appreciation Gathering on every cruise where the honor the courage, commitment and sacrifices made by military members and their families. Carnival's newest ships including Carnival Mardi Gras also feature the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge in recognition of our military heroes. Guests can grab a drink here and when they purchase a souvenir glass, Carnival will donate $1 of the purchase to Operation Homefront. Carnival Cruise Line is an outstanding supporter of Operation Homefront, which provides military families with rent-free housing and helps wounded veterans and their families.

Holland America Line
Holland America Line is showing its appreciation for the years of service military personnel have provided. The cruise line’s special offer for U.S. military members adds $100 onboard spending money to any cruise bookings departing from San Diego, California through December 31, 2021. The U.S. military has a substantial presence in San Diego and the state of California is home to 32 military bases across all branches, making Holland America Line’s San Diego sailings particularly convenient for troops stationed in the area. Holland America’s Military Appreciation Offer is available to active and retired members of the U.S. military. The onboard credit can be used for shore excursions, specialty dining, drinks, spa treatments and more. This offer applies to standard cruise-only fares as well as Holland America Line’s Have It All premium fare that includes shore excursions, a beverage package, specialty dining and Wi-Fi.

MSC Cruises
MSC Cruises offers up to 10% off on cruises for active and retired U.S. and Canadian military personnel. The discount percentage depends on the type of accommodations booked. Military discounts of 5% are available for interior and ocean view staterooms and a 10% discount is offered for verandah, suite and MSC Yacht Club accommodations. The MSC Cruises military discount program includes family members such as spouses, parents, in-laws and dependent children. The discount is available for multiple staterooms and there are no penalties if cruises must be cancelled due to deployment. While the military discount cannot be combined with a number of offers, it can be used in conjunction with MSC Cruises’ kids sail free offer when available.

Princess Cruises
In appreciation for their service, Princess Cruises offers members of the American and Canadian military up to $250 free onboard spending money to use on any Princess cruise throughout the year. This benefit is available to military veterans as well as active, retired or disabled military members.
