Prom Night (1980)

Prom Night (1980)
Robin Hammond’s broken body was found outside an abandoned building with no answers as to who was responsible or what happened. However, four friends who were playing inside the building know what occurred that day and decided to keep everything a secret. Fast forward six years and Robin’s older sister, Kim, and brother, Alex, are set to attend prom at Hammond High School where their father is principal. The four friends have been receiving threatening phone calls from someone who knows their secret and plans to make them pay. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching 1980’s “Prom Night”.

· Kim and Alex are at the breakfast table when she asks him if he has a date for the prom yet. The close-up view of Kim shows a plain gold chain around her neck. It cuts to a close-up of Alex and then back to Kim as she’s telling him who is still available. She now has a gold star pendant dangling from her necklace.

· Jude answers the phone call from the killer. In the close-up of her during the phone call, she has blue eyes. It cuts to a flashback of her younger self when Robin was killed, and she has brown eyes.

· After Kim and Alex finish their dance, the other teens start dancing in a line. At the beginning, there is a girl in a silver dress carrying a white bag who’s in line behind Kim. In the next view, there is now a girl in a black dress behind her. A moment later, the girl in the silver dress is behind Kim again.

“Prom Night” (1980) stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Leslie Nielsen, Casey Stevens, Anne-Marie Martin, Michael Tough, Robert A. Silverman, and Pita Oliver. It runs 92 minutes and is rated R for violence and gore, sex and nudity, language, frightening and intense scenes.
