Sending Large Files by email
There are a number of advantages to using YouSendIt. No extra software or registration is required. Passwords remain safe and worries about limited email space are banished forever. Best of all you don’t need to be a geek, you just need to be able to complete a few simple steps, and your files will be scanned for viruses and uploaded to YouSendIt.
No need to worry about overloading someone's inbox or having your file rejected because it's too large. The recipient will receive an email with a link to a page where the file can be downloaded, not the actual file.
Sending files, photos, audio or anything to one person or multiple people is as easy as one, two, three.
First enter an email address or multiple addresses separated by comas into the email recipient box.
Second find the file you want to send by clicking the browse button and click on the file you want to upload.
Third enter your email address and a message (optional) to the recipient, then hit the send it button.
After the upload is complete a confirmation page will display a link to your file on the YouSendIt site. If you provided your email address, you will also receive a confirmation email with a link to the file download page.
The file will be available for 7 days or 25 downloads, then it will be deleted.
While you don’t need to register to send files, you can gain access to a few extra features if you signup for a free beta YouSendIt account. By registering for a free account you will be able to maintain a contact list and track your files.
To send multiple photos at one time use PhotosYouSendit to send a custom photo album of up to 12 pictures. It's a great way to send out a photos to friends and family.
