Powerseller Secrets To Finding Products To Sell On eBay

Powerseller Secrets To Finding Products To Sell On eBay
I get asked the same question by new members all the time ... "Where can I find products to sell on eBay" ... It often comes after they have sold everything they know to sell out of their home. When they run out of items to put up for bid they naturally start looking for products they can sell over and over.

I'm sure you have seen all the "Wholesale Directories", "Drop-ship Sources" and many other "Secret Directories" and would I be right in assuming that you have found, that most of them have been outdated and useless. How many other potential sellers do you think have purchased the same directories, and how many times have you clicked on a link to find the link was no longer active, or the site had disappeared?

For that reason, I believe it is far better to teach you HOW to find your own products. Knowing how will give you the knowledge to locate sources that are not saturated with eBay sellers, and you will never be at the mercy of some outdated directory. In fact, you will find so many sources that you could start your own directory.

Without further delay lets show you how to find your own products.

5 Steps

Your doorway into the world of endless supply only involves 5 simple steps:

Open up your favorite search engine, (I always use Google)
copy a search term from this report
paste the term into the search box at the search engine
press the submit button
set a time limit - failing to do this step will result in endless hours as you get lost in product sources galore

Search Terms

Be sure to read the tips section to learn how to get the best results from your searches.
-----------------------------------------------

Payment terminology

Payment: BY T/T in advance
(this will result in many overseas sources,
and the T/T stands for "Telegraph Transfer" or a wire transfer)

Payment terms
purchase order
LOC or Line of credit

Dealer Searches

dealer information
dealer signup
dealer application
dealer account
dealer authorization

Distributor Searches

distributor information
distributor account
distributor signup
distributor login
distributor application

Reseller Searches

reseller information
reseller account
reseller signup
reseller login
reseller application

Misc. Searches

manufacturer rep
wholesale application
wholesale account
Independent Representatives & Distributors

Quotes work better with these

"apply for distributor"
"We do not sell to individuals"
"We only sell to retailers"
"wholesale only"
"wholesale buyers only"
"we do not sell retail"
"$200 minimum order"
"Payment: net 30"

Tips for best results

I usually start my searches using quotes, as this will narrow your search to exactly what is in the quotes, but you should also try searching without quotes to see if there are any different results. I listed both quoted and non quoted terms because that was how I obtained the best results, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try it the other way.

When you are looking through the results, pay attention to terminology used at the sites that are relevant to your search, these terms can be used to find more sites and sources that you may have missed. An example would be with the payment terms, we had a member at the TPRweb forums ask a question regarding terms that were being stated to him in replies he was receiving from overseas manufacturers. When researching this term to come up with the exact meaning, we stumbled upon a HUGE source of companies that sell online.

Another example would be using the terms - attention resellers

Take a look at this website - discgear.com and you will notice the words 'Attention Resellers" and is used to give the resellers a place to login. If you look around the page, you may be able to use other terms as well. Using that technique will give you an endless supply of search terms and will teach you to pay attention to the pages that you find good sources from. It's all about re-training your brain to look for specific details on websites that will help you locate your own products.

If there is a specific product you are looking for try placing the product (name, brand, etc.) in front of the search term, many times you will find it narrows the search to the product you are seeking.

Another thing to look for is any term that is used to specify their sales, such as "no retail sales" or "we only sell to retailers" Statements like that will be easy to spot and are used by the companies that you will get the best deals from.

Some of the quoted terms can be changed around and or made more specific to your desired search. An example, "$200 minimum order" can be changed to reflect what ever price you would like to find as a minimum order. Or the 'Payment: net 30' term, change the 30 to what ever term length you want to find, like 45, 90 etc.

Remember, you will need a resellers permit / license or state tax ID in order to purchase merchandise from most if not all of the sources you find, and many will have minimum order requirements.
