Hello, and welcome back! Between baseball and work, I've been getting in a lot of reading, and later this week, I've got two late-arrival May books to share with you. In the meantime, here are three others....

Again (Brava) by Sharon Cullars. Tyne Jensen can't explain the odd dreams she has on a regular basis, or why she's so attracted to David Carvelli when they meet. But something in the past has stuck around, something dark and dangerous and certainly frightening. Not your typical reincarnation story, and not your typical erotic romance either, this one falls somewhere in between. Not really my cup of tea, but I know there are plenty of you who'll disagree with me.

The Good Sister (Zebra) by Karen Crane is next. Mattie Owens's family life has always been difficult, but when her older sister goes missing, she has to return home to Oklahoma to wait for news. The premise of this one was intriguing: what happens when the 'bad sister' steps into the 'good sister's' shoes? Well, not a romance, at least in this one. Someone should remind the marketing department before they stamp 'contemporary romance' on the spine of a book that romances have endings where the couple is expected to live happily ever after. What a huge disappointment.

Custody for Two (Silhouette Special Edition #1753) by Karen Rose Smith is next. Dylan Malloy's world has already been shaken up with the death of his sister and her husband. And now his prematurely-born nephew's custody belongs to his sister's best friend Shaye Bartholomew, which doesn't make him any happier. His sister had her reasons, but that doesn't mean he has to relinquish all contact with the baby, or his pretty guardian. His return months later shakes Shaye's world up as well, as does his pronouncement that he wants joint custody. Plenty of crackling tension as well as very deep emotion in this one will keep you reading to the very last page, where you won't be disappointed by the happy ending waiting. I'm giving this one four of Cupid's five arrows.
