That One Special Gift

That One Special Gift
'Tis the season to be in a rush at the last minute? Maybe not. Unlike most that are out there at the last minute buying all sorts of things, you can give that special gift of time. Spending time with loved ones and friends, is the best give above all.

Performing in front of those you care the most, is a real treat. Think of at least three of your best, solo routines and show them off. Let everyone know what you will be doing, and give them a time to get themselves settled in the living room or outside (if it is not too cold). Have some hot chocolate ready, have someone pass them out, and start the performance.

Get your family involved by clapping your hands while dance and then motioning them to do the same. After your performance, close by grabbing someone and inviting them to dance with you. Take turns with others. You will create a memory for Christmas 2006.

Make coupons for one hour of belly dance lessons. Be specific in that you tell them where you will teach the lesson and how that person should come prepared. The coupon should make your lesson sound fun and exciting. You may add that the person can bring a group of friends. Insert the coupon in Christmas cards. When 2007 comes around, I guarantee you will be busy, since women are always looking for new ways to lose the holiday weight.

It is possible that people in your life have not been exposed to Middle Eastern music. Download, legally of course, favorite songs, and give them as gifts. The Bellydance Superstars CDs are really popular. Those CDs are full of various artists. You may want to make a little card that gives information about the various artists.

Buying a gift for a fellow belly dancer is not that difficult. Check out shira.net to get some ideas. There is a section called Make-It-Yourself items. One popular item that you can make, are the little purses to carry the zills. Make them colorful and unique.

The holidays are a time of love, fun, and happiness. How can one enjoy the holidays being in such a rush? Take it easy and make gift giving simple.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
