Brisbane-Canberra-Brisbane
I recently travelled from Brisbane in Queensland to Canberra (Australia's Capital city) and back by car. We covered 3,500 kms (1,864 miles) and only retraced our steps for about 100 kms (50 miles).

This is the first of a series of articles about this epic journey, undertaken in Spring of 2012. I will endeavour to tell you about the journey, including the route taken, and the various places of interest we encountered along the way.

First though, I'd like to give you the itinerary for the first half of the journey, from Brisbane to Canberra. I'll include the towns we passed through.

At the end of this article, I'll include a link to the maps of NSW and Queensland for you to refer to.
