My African Grey Parrot, Jewel was posing for some pictures and I decided this one would make a great jigsaw puzzle.

Jewel is a 12 1/2 year old Congo African Grey Parrot, who I have had the pleasure of living with for the past 12 years. She is talkative when there is no one else around, but if a guest has been in the home for over 20 minutes, they might be able to hear her talk.

If you look at the toenail on her longest toe on her right foot, you will see that it is out of place. When she was a baby being handfed, this nail got caught on a blanket when she was picked up and it was pulled out of place. This does not bother her or hinder her in any way, but I do have to make sure that the nail is trimmed move often than any of her other nails since it does not touch the perches at all. Her other nails seldom need trimming.
