Team Communication and Publishing eLearning Suite

Team Communication and Publishing eLearning Suite
With the AdobeR eLearning Suite, you can build customized courseware ranging from simple presentations to complex LMS. In the previous article, we discussed one of the three challenges to creating personalized, engaging, interactive learning. Now we will discuss how the eLearning Suite can help with the other challenges.

Challenge – Communication and Collaboration

Large projects are a compilation of several team members, each bringing special skills to the group. You have photographers and graphic artists, FlashR programmers, software instructors, video and sound specialists and much more. Your second challenge is to coordinate the efforts of the team into a cohesive project. The eLearning Suite has several features to help you do this. The features that you will find most useful are the new XML based comments feature and Adobe CaptivateR Reviewer (free installation). Much like the AcrobatR Reader allows you to view a PDF file without the Acrobat software installed on your computer, the Captivate Reviewer enables your clients and team members to view your Captivate project file. Communication is the key to a successful project. With the new pop-up comment box feature, team members can attach point-specific comments along the Captivate timeline while viewing your project in the Captivate Reviewer. The comments are stored and transported in an XML file and team members can view all comments from inside the Captivate workspace.

Challenge – Standard-based Publishing

Your third challenge arises when it's time to publish your courseware. You need to publish your content for several viewing methods such as online viewing, mobile devices, desktop viewing and LMS. Your audience may be a single company employee viewing the course on a desktop in an office or several people viewing online via a conference connection and AdobeR AcrobatR ConnectTM Pro. With the common Flash platform technology, the eLearning Suite makes publishing universal. For example, you can publish your project as a Flash SWF file or embed your Captivate movie inside an Acrobat PDF. For formal LMS, you can incorporate all of the content into one SCORM-compliant package using the new SCORM Packager or you can create a version of your project for mobile devices with Device Central. With Adobe AIR, your project can be viewed on any computer independent of the operating system.
