Review Adobe Premiere Elements 8

Review Adobe Premiere Elements 8
Family, friends and home movies make a good combination when capturing those precious moments and AdobeR PremiereR Elements 8 has a few new features. With more Adobe FlashR technology and interactive design elements, you can share those moments in new and creative ways. You can export your movie in several formats, upload your movies to YouTubeTM, burn them to disc or watch them on-the-go on your mobile device.

Fixing problem video has been made easier with SmartFix. Do you have a shaky hand that results in a shaky video and lost memories? With the new auto-fix features, you can fix shaky video, as well as, color, contrast and lighting problems. With SmartTrim you can quickly edit unwanted footage and with SmartSound you can add a background soundtrack automatically matched to the length of your movie. Of course, you always have the option to make these fixes manually. The amount of automation is up to you.

My personal favorite is the new Motion Tracking mode. With this new tool, you can add animated graphics, text and other special effects to your movies and they will become part of the storyline as they move with the subjects in your movie. Premiere records the movements of the subject that you've selected. Next, you just drag and drop a design element onto the scene and Premiere will create a motion path for the element that matches the movements of your subject.

You will also appreciate all the new artwork, frames, animations and special effects packed with this new upgrade. InstantMovie now has over 300 themes including music, titles and transitions to give your home movies a Hollywood shine.

The Organizer hub has been improved to include a full screen edit mode to work in both Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements making it easy to keep all your photos and movies organized with one intuitive tool. With the new Smart Tags, you have auto-analysis at your fingertips. It will analyze your photos and movies, tag your best footage and compile them into Smart Albums set to your own criteria. It's not uncommon for a family to have more than one computer and the Organizer can help you manage all your files between computers, keeping the most updated files accessible on any computer. You no longer need to keep track of what files are on each computer and which computer has the most recently edited photos and movies. You even get an automatic online backup feature.

With a large library of templates and built-in Flash interactive elements, sharing your videos with distant family and friends in fun and creative ways is easy. For example, you can create an album that works like an interactive scrapbook, where the viewer controls the navigation. The "pictures" in the scrapbook are thumbnails of your videos. The viewer just clicks on the thumbnail for a chosen video and it jumps out of the scrapbook and starts playing.

You can do even more creative things, as well as get exclusive online artwork, effects and tutorials, by including a Plus membership with your purchase of Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements or the software bundle. If you choose to purchase the bundle, you can use the Organizer hub to move easily between programs.
