Adobe Flash CS4 Professional Learn by Video

Adobe Flash CS4 Professional Learn by Video
This video training course has one major advantage over other AdobeR FlashR video training courses. It teaches all the skills needed to become a Rich Media Communication Adobe Certified Associate. The major part of the learning process is the video-based course.

This course is made up of many consecutive workshops. Because it's all one DVD, you have control over the speed at which you progress through the course. You start at the beginning with foundation topics such as an introduction to Flash, file formats and the Flash interface, especially the Tools panel. As with most Flash training, you begin by learning how to draw in Flash and then move on to working with bitmaps and text. The course covers text formatting, rendering and using text in Flash video.

Once the static elements are covered, you move up to animation and the Flash Timeline. Shape Tweening is the first technique you learn for Flash animation covering everything from simple Shape Tweens, symbols and movie clips to more advanced topics including invisible buttons. Both classic and object-based tweening is fully covered, especially the new CS4 features that make your workflow easier such as the Motion Presets and the Motion Editor. The course also covers popular tweening topics including animating and masking text, 3D movement and Inverse Kinematic animation.

Once you have a firm footing with animation, the course moves on to Flash's object-oriented ActionScript. You will begin with simple code used in almost any Flash ActionScript project such as stop() and gotoAndPlay(). Then you move on to controlling sound with ActionScript, adding sound along the Flash Timeline and Event Handling. Next, we have an introduction to Flash video, the Adobe Media Encoder and the FLVPlayback Component. Finally, you learn the important aspects of taking your Flash to the web.

A small book accompanies the DVD. It includes an brief introduction to project management and design principles. Several, but not all, of the workshops are briefly discussed in the book.
