The middle of the US has been getting hammered with awful winter storms
this past week and not for the first time this winter. If your pond was
dug below the frost line, you should be fine, if not, your pond may freeze
solid. If you have power and your pond is not frozen, you can put a pan
of warm water on the ice and open a hole in the ice. Another great way to
thaw a bit of ice is to hook up a garden hose to an inside tap and just
run cold water over the ice. Unless you have well below zero temperatures,
the water will open a hole, so the fish can breathe.

Two ways to do it yourself, save money and have a gorgeous pond for your backyard. Knock these together, add water lillies, fish, plants and be dazzled and proud.
