Abbreviations:
clr = close ring
R = ring
CH = chain rw = reverse work
ds = double stitch
+ = join
- or p = picot
ANGEL: Please make all joining picots small. Samples shown used #10 DMC thread.
Left Wing: Ring 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 5 - 1 clr
Head: Ring 1 + 6 - 6 - 1 clr
Right Wing: Ring 1 + 5 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 1 clr
Body: Ring: 1 + 7 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 8 clr. Add the bead when finishing off the tails. Finish off ends.
HEART: Begin with the trefoil in the cleavage of the heart. Tatting from left to right.
Ring 5 - 5 - 5 - 5 clr
Ring 5 + (join to 1st ring) 5 + (join to head) 5 p 5 clr
Ring 5 + (join to last ring) 5 - 5 - 5 clr RW. Tie threads using the Shoe Lace Trick (SLT)
Chain 5 (12 p separated by 2 ds)2 RW
Ring 5 + (join to 2nd p on trefoil) 5 + (join to 2nd p on wing) 5 - 5 clr RW
Chain 2 + (join to last chain) (7 p separated by 2ds)RW
Ring 5 + (join to last ring) 5 + (join to 4th p on wing) 5 - 5 clr RW
Chain 2 + (join to last chain) (7 p separated by 2ds)RW
Ring 5 + (join to last ring) 5 + (join to 6th p on wing) 5 - 5 clr RW
Chain 2 + (join to last chain) (7 p separated by 2ds)RW
Ring 5 + (join to last ring) 5 + (join to 1st p on body) 5 - 5 clr RW
Chain 2 + (join to last chain) (7 p separated by 2ds)RW
Ring 5 + (join to last ring) 5 + (join to 3rd p on body) 5 - 5 clr RW
Chain 2 + (join to last chain) (10 p separated by 2ds) RW
This is the long chain at the bottom point. Continue up the other side in like manner and finish off ends.
