Greetings Everyone and Happy New Year:

It has been a few weeks of vacation around here and school starts again for Nicholas tomorrow. Matthew went back last week, but the whole month of January is half days as this is intersession, or Extended School Year since it is a year round school. Then he has another 1.5 weeks off in February before returning on a regular full day schedule.

We have spent a lot of time researching Nicholas's homework assignment. This was to write about your chosen career with four examples of what a day is like for someone who is in that professiona and to cover education, skills and training plus write how you will accomplish this.

Nicholas wants to be a Paleontologist and will need a Ph.D. It looks like UC Berkeley has a good program so that may be where we end up in eight years. He got the comic books from PETA kids and has learned a lot about laboratory rats and studies.

I am very happy with the new therapist we have for Matthew's Floor Time and will be writing about that and some reviews on matching toys that work well for him at his level.
