January 7 2016 Museums Newsletter

Hello all!

I am sorry to be MIA for most of 2015. I was dealing with some family health issues that prevented me from writing like I would have liked. I hope to be more active in 2016.

I wanted to let you all know that I am now teaching two online courses for the Northern States Conservation Center:

MS101: Introduction to Museums
MS209: Collections Management Policies for Cultural Institutions.

The Intro class begins FEBRUARY 1. If you or someone you know is interested in more information, please visit the following site:

As always, please let me know if you have any ideas you would like me to explore for a future article on Museums.

Thank you!
Kim

Here's the latest article from the Museums site at BellaOnline.com.

May 4 Visitors Center at Kent State University
This small museum is far more powerful than museums ten times its size. Situated in the campus building closest to the shootings, it tells the story of May 4, the events leading up to it, and the impact felt afterwards.
