Consider Homeschooling with ADD
Greetings from the Land of OZ!
About this time of year in 1996, I started noticing a certain look in my child's eyes. It was a haunted and desperate look that broke my heart. A conversation with a friend who had a child in the same school as my son made me start thinking about homeschooling. All of the experts told me that this was going to be a major mistake. But a mother knows... After careful consideration of as many factors as we could think of, and looking at how giving up one income would impact our family, my husband and I decided to plunge into homeschooling. For the next two years we joyfully explored education as a homeschooling family. Was it tough? You bet! Did our kids benefit? They did!
Some children with Attention Deficit Disorder truly suffer when they are in school. They feel like they cannot do anything well. These children feel hopeless and desperate. If you are thinking about homeschooling to help your child with Attention Deficit Disorder, what factors do you need to consider?
