“Last week I heard a discussion on the news concerning structured play date and play time. When I was a child, this was unheard of. Neighborhood moms just congregated, they talked, and we played. When I was a littler older mom said go outside and play and I did. For me playtime was until dusk when I was called and told to come inside. The only structure I had was when I ignored my mom and continued to play, my twin brother's were sent to call me. They would shout at the top of their lungs, "Momma said to come inside."

Do you think there is more 'calendar scheduled' time because more mothers are working outside of the home? If not, what is the reason?”
