My Mom used to make these for us on our birthdays. The birthday kid would be blindfolded and allowed to whack away at the hanging pinata until the candy inside spilled out. As much fun as hitting that paper mache horse was, I was jealous of the kids at the party. Once the pinata broke open they all immediately descended on the candy, while I struggled to get the blind fold off.
