Here's an interesting historical fact discovered and shared by tatting historian, Martha Ess (featured in a book review here on BellaOnline.com; http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art22188.asp.)about the How to Tat article published this week. She has discovered that Dr. Cantwell's 1914 book lifts its tatting (and perhaps the entire needlework) section from the 1868 book "Enquire Within Upon Fancy Needlework", which is included in the 1869 edition of "Enquire Within Upon Everything" by Robert Kemp Philip. That book happens to be available from Google free ebooks.
