Child Loss

October 4 2010 Child Loss Newsletter

Hi all. My name is Holli Gordon and I am the new Bella Online Child Loss Editor. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself and get you acquainted with the Child Loss site and the weekly newsletter.

First, let’s begin with me. I am a mother of one two year old son who is an absolute joy; but before him I lost three children, two by miscarriage and one stillbirth. If it were not for the gracious parents who posted their inspirational stories throughout the web, I am sure my grieving process would have carried on into the next millennia. Through those personal accounts, I learned that I was not alone in my grief. I learned of support groups, counseling resources and coping techniques. Through their stories of love, loss and ultimately triumph, I learned to maintain hope.

During my tenure as Child Loss Editor, I will post weekly articles that will address the needs of grieving parents and family members. I will discuss subjects such as marriage, coping with grief and communication. I hope to keep you informed of relevant news within our Bella community and discuss pertinent issues from outside our inner circle as well. Most importantly, I hope to keep you supported. If you need a listening ear, you can always send an email using the email button on the Child Loss site. Or if you need to cry or vent, log on to the Child Loss forum. The loss of a child is a devastating emotional journey that you do not have to travel alone.

In addition, each week I will send out the weekly newsletter. The newsletters will be uplifting and motivational in nature. Parents and family members spend a lot of time dwelling on the people we’ve lost. It is often difficult to stay positive during such emotionally trying times. I hope the newsletter will assist all of us in focusing on the positives while we continue to put one foot in front of the other.

If you’re not already a loyal reader, you can sign up by entering your email address at the left sidebar on the homepage of the Child Loss site or the bottom of each article. Remember that Bella Online never sells your email to third parties. We value your privacy. So sign up for the free newsletter and receive weekly inspiration delivered directly to your inbox.

Stay Positive!
