After 11 years, everyone's favourite rotund psychologist is back. Robbie Coltrane reprised the role of Cracker for a one off ITV special last week, with a rumoured new series coming in 2007. US viewers can catch the show October 30th on BBC America, with a likely air date in Canada early next year.
The new, hip Robin Hood had a peak viewership of 8.2 million in the BBC Saturday night time slot vacated by Dr. Who. The Beeb is leading the Saturday night ratings with its new autumn schedule, featuring international football and Strictly Come Dancing in its lineup.
Congrats to Corrie's Bradley Walsh (Danny Baldwin) for scooping best actor at last month's Inside Soap magazine awards. EastEnders took the title of best soap for the tenth consecutive year. Other winners included Bill Ward (Charlie Stubbs) of the Street for best bad boy, Helen Worth (Gail Platt) for the outstanding achievement award for 32 years on the cobbles, and Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater) of EastEnders, for best actress.
That's all for this week.
See you soon.
