Greetings Everyone and Happy Columbus Day to those who will have the day off from work or school. No such luck here, although this past Monday was a day off for Nicholas. We learned of it at the end of the school day on Friday.

Sorry for the long delay in sending a newsletter. My dial up connection is slower than ever and I will be getting DSL as soon as I get a new software drive.

This coming Friday - October 13th on CBS at 8 pm is a show called Ghost Whisperer. I have never viewed this and most likely will not, but this episode has to do with autism. I read that Laurie Stephens of The Help Group was the consultant on this episode, so that is encouraging. This just happens to be on at the same time that my son Nicholas watches Meerkat Manor and I cannot have him sit through a show that is on Friday the 13th.

National Sensory Awareness week is October 25-31st. Maybe we will see some articles in print and stories in the news on this topic. I have written a few articles at my group - http://autismfamilies.gather.com if you care to read and comment on anything there or perhaps join and earn points for gift cards - they come in handy for holiday presents.
