I hope you are having a wonderful week. As we continue to live our best lives on this earth let's not forget to bestow a compassionate hand to those who need it.

I would like to continue this newsletter by acknowledging the efforts of someone who is dedicated to eradicating the bullying epidemic. This individual's name is Katherine Mayfield. Katherine Mayfield is the award-winning author of The Box of Daughter: Healing the Authentic Self, two books on the acting business: Smart Actors, Foolish Choices and Acting A to Z, both published by Back Stage Books, and Dysfunctional Families: Exposing the Secrets Behind Closed Doors.

Recently, Ms. Mayfield brought to my attention her project for helping young teens who have become victims of bullying. She believes that she can help those who are being bullied by using emotional intelligence.

She says that emotional intelligence is needed because, “Society has discouraged the acknowledgment and expression of feelings.” Ms. Mayfield has been open about her intense emotional feelings as a child and wants to let every teen know that they are not alone in their struggles.
