Greeting horse fans! I took some time before sending this newsletter out to gather as many responses to the "html versus text" newsletter question I posed to you last time.
Over 75% of my readers prefer the html format, so in order to accommodate as many of you as I can, html will be used in the future. For those who prefer text, an alternative is to access our latest newsletter via the Newsletter Archives portion of the site. New members can also browse past newsletters there.
Good news for Barbaro lovers! His cast was removed and he is now wearing a splint on the right leg. His left leg laminitis is improving, but it will still be 6-12 months before that clears. Let's all keep up the prayers for Barbaro; it seems to be working.
ARTICLES
The latest article from the Horses site at BellaOnline.com concerns Treeless Saddles. What is a treeless saddle and where did they originate? What are the benefits to be derived from these more flexible and natural saddles? Learn all that, as well as signs of pain that indicate your saddle is not as comfortable as it should be for your horse.
Also new is a breed article, the Pony of the Americas. Arising out of a crossing between Appaloosa, Arab and Shetland, the Pony of the Americas is a wonderful horse for children and young adults. Suitable for a wide variety of events, this little spotted pony is rapidly becoming a favorite of horse moms all over.

This newsletter's adoption link is for the Rocky Mountain region. The Horse Protection League assists horses, mules and donkeys, and has many lovely friends awaiting your help or possibly adoption.
That's it for now, friends. As always, I'd love to hear from you about anything equine, either in the forum or in response to this email message. Remember to contact me through the Email Editor form on our home page and you will not be subject to the dreaded spam blocker!
In the meantime, have fun, ride safe, and see you around the barn.
