Greetings, and welcome to the 16 November 2007 Neuromuscular Diseases Newsletter
This free newsletter is put out weekly and provides a wealth of information for anybody living with or interested in Neuromuscular Diseases and the effect it has on people’s lives.
Today is one of those very hot days in Mokopane, South Africa. I think the temperature must be 34c. Thanks for the light wind touching me through the window.
I am at times really suffering from back pain as result of scoliosis. I am supposed to ware a back brace to support my back, but on a hot day like today, I am sure I will melt away with another item of clothing on my body!
What effect does scoliosis have on your daily life? What do you do or take for pain? How does it affect your walking, sitting or any other movements? Talk to me in the forum.
Thoughts for the week:
"It makes no sense to worry about things you have no control over because there's nothing you can do about them, and why worry about things you do control? The activity of worrying keeps you immobilized."
- Wayne Dyer
“You can't choose the ways in which you will be tested."
- Robert J. Sawyer
“You're alive. Do something. The directive in life, the moral imperative was so uncomplicated. It could be expressed in single words, not complete sentences. It sounded like this:
Look. Listen. Choose. Act."
- Barbara Hall
