Folklore and Mythology

November 19 2008 Folklore and Mythology Newsletter

Greetings to Folks around the world from Northern Nevada, USA!

We have had some beautiful and warm weather in Nevada. The temps have been in the mid to the high 60's for several days which have given us a great opportunity for driving around the land and enjoying the beautiful colors, sights and quaint little towns in the mountains between here and California. We have noticed that the horses, wild and on the farms, do not have much fur on their bellies - so, looks like we might have a mild winter this year. We shall see.

Need a good recipe for stuffing for all those folks coming to your Thanksgiving dinner? Here is my favorite which is quick, easy and delicious:

Your favorite box of stuffing mix (I prefer Mrs. Cubbison's herb flavored)
One large yellow onion, chopped
One stalk celery, chopped
Mushrooms, sliced
Hazelnuts

Saute vegetables. Prepare stuffing mix per directions on box. Combine the stuffing, vegetables and hazelnuts and bake till heated through and a little crusty on top. The folks will love it! Of course, I never stuff the turkey with it, just the folks.
