This past Sunday the WWE held it's annual Survivor Series Pay-Per-View and one shocking turn of events was the return of Edge and he managed to win the WWE title in a triple threat match against Vladimir Kozlov and Triple H. Apparently, Jeff Hardy was supposed to have been hospitalized so Edge took his spot in the triple threat match. However, Hardy showed up at the opportune time to lambaste Triple H with a chair, allowing Edge to cover him for the title winning victory.

In other matches, John Cena returned to end Chris Jericho's World title reign as the leader of the Chain Gang won his first World title by defeating Jericho.

Team HBK defeated Team JBL in a traditional survivor series elimination match.

Team Orton defeated Team Batista when Orton nailed Batista with the RKO for the pin

Beth Phoenix pinned Maryse to become the sole survivor in the Team Raw Divas vs. Team Smackdown Divas match.
