Knock knock, it’s me just popping in to say hello. Where did that week go? I guess it’s a slippery slide to the 25th December for those celebrating. It’s going to be quiet at our place this year. Both my children are away, one overseas the other interstate, so it will be Darby and Joan (all alone) this time. I’ve decided on a cold picnic lunch at our dining table.

Here in Brissy, it gets pretty hot and humid at Christmas time, so anything that can reduce the stress suits me fine. I’m going to make some yummy seafood thingies, and some nice cold cuts for he who doesn’t eat seafood. More than likely, by about 2:00pm I’ll be getting a little teary for my brood and missing them, but I’m sure I’ll get over it LOL!!

I’m on my way to a full recovery, thanks for all the lovely ladies who contacted me with kind words. It’s so easy to take your working body for granted, and it isn’t until you realise the mind is willing but the body has other ideas, that you truly appreciate the body running well. I’ve been appreciating big time this last week.

Because I’ve been laid up, I’ve been coming across all manner of interesting quilty stuff for you and I’ve got a big cache of things for you, which I will drip feed to you over the next few months. This little video is really worth a watch. Not just because it’s about Aussie quilters, but the feeling it leaves you with at the finish. I really hope you enjoy this.

Last Sunday I posted a review on a complimentary DVD I received from Jena Moreno, the acclaimed director of the film Stitched – The film. Jena has joined forces with Randall Cook who is a quilter and a professional trainer and they have put together a fantastic DVD on Stretching for Quilters. I hope you find this interesting.
