Hello and I trust you are having a good week!
The Christmas and Holiday season is upon us!
This time of year seems to have a rush, rush, rush…or mush, mush, mush!.. feel to it! No doubt about it, this entire month will be stress for many, excitement for others, and loneliness and depression runs rampant this time of year.
Remember that there are still people here in the USA in Joplin, Tuscaloosa, and the northeast, and many more, still are living in tents or shelters.
A good way to relieve panicked stress is to reach out to someone that is not as fortunate as you are.
It seems that trying to buy that perfect gift brings unfathomable pressure.
Remember, it is the person that is the most important. Let’s value each other. Things we can always replace. Suicides and domestic violence escalate during this time of year. Maybe it’s money, or possibly lack of sunlight or both. Reach out to someone who looks like they’ve lost hope. Give a smile.
Let us balance our perspective this year with much gratitude.
Focusing on someone else’s need, going outside ourselves, is the great equalizer.
A stress free and thankful heart is a disease free body!
I hope your week is great, and I’ll keep you all in my prayers for a wonderful season!
p.s. Be on the lookout for my Book Review of The Lovin’ Ain’t Over for Women with Cancer by Ralph and Barbara Alterowitz. I hope to have the review published no later than two weeks. I’m not trying to push a sale. This book would make a great gift for a couple that is struggling with sexual intimacy, or the young single woman having trauma from cancer treatment. The book is available on Amazon (which has some good short reviews, mine will be much more in depth), and their website renewintimacy.org if you want to go ahead and get it! $18.95

Still Thankful After All These Years
I have learned that gratefulness keeps the heart from growing bitter, and after all of these years, I still have much to be thankful for. I haven’t just survived cancer physically. The fact that I am still in my right mind is a testament to the reality and strength of my faith.
