DETROIT WINTER SWING SOLD OUT; WAITING LIST, PTQ ENTRIES AVAILABLE

After rapidly selling out all available entries for the PBA Carmen Salvino, Mark Roth and Don Carter Classics, and Earl Anthony PBA Players Championship portion of the Detroit Winter Swing, the PBA has established a waiting list for the tournament while opening the Pro Tournament Qualifier to members who were unable to get into the Winter Swing field.

The Winter Swing, which will mark the debut of the PBA League competition in addition to the individual PBA Tour events, will be held at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Mich. Jan. 19-27.

PBA and Thunderbowl Lanes are accepting entries for the event’s Pro Tournament Qualifier that has been expanded to advance 10 players to the regular field. The eight-game PTQ is scheduled for noon ET on Saturday, Jan. 19. If a non-member advances from the PTQ into the tournament field, he/she will not be required to join the PBA.

PBA members wishing to be placed on the waiting list or enter the PTQ for the Detroit Winter Swing can download an entry form, enter online at pba.com or call Barb Wilt at PBA Headquarters at (206) 654-6025. Non-members may submit a PTQ entry form, use the on-line system or call Thunderbowl Lanes at (313) 928-4688, ext. 111.
