This is Pop Lenuta Maria's heart pattern done with all rings. She sent a photo of the work in progress to Karen Cabrera who was able to tat the model above and to prepare a diagram with the double stitch count to share with us online. Many thanks to both of them for sharing their work with us.
The tatting begins at the top in the cleavage of the heart. The rings are worked in the order marked to the point and then a mirror image is tatted on the wayback up to the top. The size of the rings increase from top to point and then decrease from point to top.

Return to top in reverse manner. Note that the upper rings without decorative picots lay upon the lower rings which do have decorative picots. Add a narrow ribbon and you've got a sweet valentine. It will work up well in several sizes.
This is an excellent pattern to tat using an horizontal picot gauge. The picots are lined up 5, 10 and 12 at a time. Placing picots on the gauge keeps them in order and prevents them from twisting while working. Of course, the gauge also keeps them the same size.
